The International Development & Relief Foundation (IDRF) is a Canadian registered organization that has been carrying out humanitarian projects in many countries around the world to help people who are affected by tragic circumstances. Since its inception in 1985, IDRF has been helping provide relief aid, such as such as food, clean water, shelter and medical care, to victims of wars or natural disasters; and has been implementing development projects, such as healthcare and basic education, in communities that are struggling to overcome endemic poverty. IDRF projects are based on the philosophies of human dignity, social justice, and self-reliance. They are designed to assist communities to survive calamities and to improve their own living conditions and achieve rights, equity, and self-sustainability through collective, collaborative efforts.

IDRF projects are supported by generous Canadians, by the Federal Government through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and by agencies of various Provincial Governments, including those of Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
